Challenge:

A large engineering firm with offices in multiple locations within the US and abroad found themselves in need of a new way of organizing the intellectual property as well as creating an effective collaboration environment. The Information Technology department selected Microsoft SharePoint as the tool to meet their needs.

Approach:

Aciron began the implementation process by presenting an initial introduction to Microsoft SharePoint to the entire company. By providing a general overview of the product and its capabilities, the client was able to understand how such an intranet portal would benefit their day to day business operations. Following the presentation, meetings took place in each department and a demo SharePoint site was created. By meeting with each department, the Aciron team was able to clearly gather each group’s requirements. At the same time, access to the demo SharePoint system, enabled clients to securely test and determine the desired features and requirements for the application.

Solution:

Aciron Consulting implemented Microsoft SharePoint for various departments within the enterprise to establish a robust and streamline intranet portal. The platform enabled the employees to upload documents, create calendars, assign tasks, manage projects, and overall, promoted strong collaboration.
In addition, Aciron implemented the Help Desk application to streamline the process of IT service requests generated within the organization.
